The Crown – A Big Netflix Original Production

The Crown is an original Netflix show about the life of Queen Elisabeth II majesty’s life. The first season was released in its entirety on November 4th, 2016. It covers the events from 1947 to 1955. The series is expected to span for 60 episodes. Each season will cover a decade of her life as queen.

Critics gave The Crown very positive reviews, and it is expected that the series will be nominated for several Emmy and Golden Globe awards.

The cost for the first season was over 100 million. It is an extremely expensive production and Netflix would like to see a return of their investment and more. Unfortunately for them it looks like the reaction from the audience has not been as expected. Nevertheless Netflix already agreed to go ahead with the production of the second season. For sure the rest of the seasons will depend of how many people tune it to the show in the near future.
